Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Hello (again) everyone!  We've arrived safely in Dubai and are now sitting waiting for our flight to Nairobi.  The flight was uneventful.  Despite a 4 hour nap, I was still able to watch 3 movies...
There are 8 of us in the crew for this trip.  My entire clan, our friends Ritchie, Amie and Sam.  Amie's younger sister Sam is the only one in the group that hasn't been to Kenya yet, so everyone is looking forward to watching her reaction as she experiences the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful country that we've come to love so much.  Based on the trip from JFK, we should come back with some good stories.  You wouldn't think much would happen during a 12 hour flight.  I was wrong.  At some point in the flight, Sam was getting thirsty, and rather than wait for a flight attendant, she reached into her backpack for her water bottle.  Apparently, the pressure in the cabin had not been compensated inside the water bottle.  Although it's much funnier when she tells the story, when she opened the bottle, the water shot straight up to the ceiling of the plane. Although the laughter may have caught the attention of her sister, so did the water.  She didn't see the incident, but she did fall prey to the aftermath, "What are you laughing at?... and why am I wet?"  I'll try to get another post in tonight (along with some pictures).  Talk to you soon.
